Tiara Yachts
began its history with Leon Slikkers, formerly of Chris-Craft. In 1955, Slikkers
set out to start his own yacht building company; after selling his original
company, and starting to build motor yachts, Tiara Yachts came into existence.
Tiara is a division of S2 Yachts, Inc., with head offices/manufacturing in Holland,
Michigan, and another manufacturing facility for specific models in Swansboro,
North Carolina. Tiara features two lines of yachts: open, measuring from 31
feet to 53 feet in length with standard pulpit, and express Sovran, ranging
from 41 feet to 55 feet with standard pulpit. Tiara’s design and engineering
groups write electrical software specific to Tiara yachts, and use various 3-D
views in design. Tiara has chosen a modified deep-V hull to promote a stable
ride.
